Details
Think elegant and festive, with a relaxed evening feel. For women, a cocktail dress or chic separates are perfect. For men, tailored trousers with a linen shirt and blazer, or a lightweight suit. No tie required.
Our wedding day calls for a little more elegance. For women, floor-length gowns and elegant evening dresses are welcome. For men, we suggest a tuxedo or a dark suit with a white shirt, paired with either a bow tie or a tie.
There is no specific color palette for either celebration — wear what feels most like you. We simply ask that shades of white, ivory, and cream be left to the bride.
Guests are kindly asked to arrange their own transportation to Villa Lario, Via Matteotti 27, Pognana Lario. The drive from central Como and Cernobbio typically takes approximately 20-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
We strongly recommend reserving a taxi or private driver in advance, particularly for the journey to the villa. If you are staying at a hotel, the concierge will usually be able to assist with arranging a car for you. Uber Black is available in Como, but the number of available drivers can be limited, especially outside the city centre. We therefore recommend treating Uber as a secondary option rather than relying on it for a time-sensitive journey to the wedding.
For those who would prefer to travel by boat, private water-taxi transfers can also be arranged. Villa Lario has a private pontoon that allows for direct boat arrival. We recommend booking this service in advance and confirming the departure point and timing directly with the boat company.
To make the end of each evening as easy as possible, we are arranging return transportation from Villa Lario following both the welcome cocktail and the wedding reception.
More detailed information regarding departure times and drop-off points will be shared closer to the wedding. If you’d prefer to leave at a different time, or are staying outside the designated drop-off areas, we kindly ask that you arrange a private return transfer in advance.

Having you join us in Lake Como means more to us than any gift could. We feel incredibly grateful to celebrate this weekend with the people we love, and your presence truly is the greatest gift. For that reason, there won’t be a wedding registry.
